The Information Governance Committee is a standing sub-committee of the Central PHO Board and oversees the information and communications technology (ICT), Information Systems (IS) and Health Intelligence (HI) investment priorities for Central PHO and other participating primary health sector providers and organisations
The Committee:
- Provides strategic leadership for primary health care in the MidCentral district through the alignment of Central PHO's Digital Strategy Plan objectives with the key focus areas of Central PHO's Strategic Plan, the MidCentral District Digital Strategy, the MidCentral DHB's Strategic framework and Ministry of Health's NZ Health Strategy.
- Prioritises digital investment initiatives and deliver final approvals and recommendations on proceeding with proposed digital projects as part of the annual budgeting process.
- Ensure planning is collaborative and considers how to bridge equity gaps, actively involve clinicians, encompass primary healthcare stakeholder needs and considers the need of the wider social sector
