The Senior Leadership Team ensures effective stewardship of the Central PHO and execution of the Central PHO Strategic Plan and associated work programmes, and to actively seek new opportunities to achieve Central PHO’s vision.

Chiquita has been in a variety of nursing roles since 1982 and from 2003 onwards she has held the Director of Nursing Primary Health Care: Health Care Development role at MidCentral DHB.  Chiquita has been seconded by Central PHO as Clinical Executive Director since 2011 to enable closer integration of services to achieve the best possible health outcomes and in 2014 was appointed as the CEO.  Chiquita is an active executive leadership team member for the DHB and PHO.

Lorna Love is the Executive Officer to the CEO and Board, and has been with Central PHO since 2015.  Lorna manages the CEO's workload, along with assisting with various projects.  Lorna is also Secretary to the following:

  • Central PHO Board-ALT
  • Central PHO Clinical Board
  • Central PHO Financial, Audit, Risk and Health and Safety Committee
  • Central PHO Information Governance Committee
  • Alliance Management Team

Lorna is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Organisational Management Group and Organisational Development Group.


Christine Hill is the Clinical Development Manager of Central PHO.  With a nursing background, Christine has extensive experience in the primary health sector in leadership and clinical roles, in both Auckland and the MidCentral region.

Christine is passionate about making health care accessible and acceptable to our population, with a strong focus on equity driving her daily work.

Christine is responsible for the development of Central PHO clinical services and enjoys working in partnership with multi sectorial stakeholders.



Brenda Rea has been very much committed to the primary health sector for most of her working life, starting her journey as a registered nurse working in various community based roles and then moving to senior and executive management in both in the PHO and the general practice environment both in Australia and New Zealand.

Brenda is passionate about GP practice being a key foundation stone of robust primary health care and embraces her role supporting GP Practices / teams to be high performing, sustainable and viable, meeting the health needs of their local communities. Other aspects of Brenda’s role includes relationship management within the wider Horowhenua and Otaki Communities.


Michael has been with Central PHO since 2015 and manages the Finances, Payroll and HR for:

  • Central PHO
  • Horowhenua Community Practice
  • Te Waiora
  • Te Tihi o Ruahine Whānau Ora Alliance

Michael has recently returned to Health after leaving the sector to work in the manufacturing industry (FMCG) and Energy Retailing, holding positions as varied as Commercial Manager, CFO through to General Manager

As well as being involved in day to day management Michael has also been involved in:

  • Compliance
  • ISO accreditation
  • System review and workflow redesign
  • Computerisation of systems and processes
  • Company acquisitions
  • Sale of business units and Companies.


Dr. Nader Fattah MBChB MRCGP

I am a 41-year-old, British medical graduate and a practising GP for over 13 years, attaining membership of the RCGP (UK) in 2005. Hailing from Scottish-Egyptian descent, I lived in both Qatar and Egypt before moving to the UK age 11. My experiences of different countries and diverse cultures have instilled me with a unique outlook on life. With a passion for travelling from a young age, it was not long before I sought out the beautiful shores of Aotearoa in 2003, before making it my home in 2010 with my wife. In addition to the practice of medicine, a lifelong interest in technology drives my pursuit of ICT to enhance people’s health and empower their lives.
